In the February of 2023, I crafted three book covers for a series of printed screenplays based off some of the most popular fantasy movies of the 1980’s (The Never-ending story, Labyrinth, and Willow). The purpose of the project was to get the younger generation more involved with reading again, which is why I chose the theme of the ‘vintage’ fantasy movies since their aesthetic was trending at the time. The design of each book cover communicated a sense of adventure, mystery and magic. The major challenge of the project was that it was analogue-based, meaning I was very limited in my software. I took the photographs myself and later edited them with the help of art supplies only.
