In terms of a college project, I got to source and visualise an article on the topic of my choice. Being a Russian immigrant living in Europe after the war with Ukraine started, I decided to bring up the recent Russian anti-war sensation that was not talked about as much in the western media. Green ribbon is a delicate and creative way to show express unity, solidarity and hope. Besides working on the layout and typography, I also got to create my own imagery and use photographs of some extremely skilled documentary photographers, such as Ryan White and Dmitry Markov.
